It is widely distributed in Japan. In addition to the sweet fragrance from the grass, it was also used as a medicine for sprains and bruises, so it is used as an ingredient for sweets in Japan as Yomogi-Mochi (Mugwort rice-cake). Although it is in the Asteraceae family, its flowers are not very conspicuous.

Dyeing method
